Partners

The Fund has recently signed Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with a number of other organisations in the surveying and land management field. We have done this to strengthen our connections in this field, to ensure that our funding is able to make as large a difference as possible.

We have three different types of partners:

  • Funded Partners (partners to whom we make grants for work, normally up to £20,000)
  • Grant Funding Partners (partners with whom we make grants to third parties)
  • Strategic Partners (those organisations with whom we seek to have a strategic relationships for mutual benefit)

We anticipate all of these relationships as being longer-term ones, recognising the benefits of developing understanding over an extended period. We are open to approaches from other organisations interested in such a relationship; if you are, please use the contacts information on this website, and we will follow up with you – we see relationships like this evolving through discussions.

We are proud to have arrangements with the following organisations:

Funded Partners and Associates:

The King’s Foundation – a registered charity whose aim is to create communities where People, Places and the Planet coexist in harmony. The Foundation works to educate, inspire and demonstrate how practical knowledge from the past can create sustainable community prosperity in the present.

The King’s Foundation is an Aubrey Barker Fund Foundation Associate, and is receiving grant funding to undertake further developments to their Rapid Planning Toolkit.

Grant Funding Partners

The FIG Foundation,  an independent body under the International Federation of Surveyors, administered by the FIG Office in Copenhagen and directed by a Board of Directors appointed by the FIG Council, which raises funds to secure a sustainable future for surveyors. Donations finance educational and capacity building projects and scholarships, especially in developing countries and countries in transition, and encourage research into all disciplines of surveying and help disseminate the results of that research.

We plan to issue a call for applications for some jointly funded grants later in 2024.

Strategic Partners

The Property Research Trust (PRT), a registered charity and a grant award entity supporting the delivery and dissemination of high quality, independent knowledge, research and thought leadership in the disciplines of land, real estate and construction.

We are jointly sponsoring the Sarah Sayce Award for Sustainability Research , and are discussing a number of other potential projects.

The Commonwealth Association for Surveying and Land Economy (CASLE), a federation of independent professional societies representing surveying and land economy in Commonwealth countries, with its headquarters in England and a mission for the advancement of the profession of Surveying in the Commonwealth, and to the enhancement of the skills of Surveyors in the management of the natural and built environments for the common good.

We are working with CASLE to consider a variety of strategic matters of joint interest.
